True Colours Conference
The doors to the Media Centre were opened as YWAM Brisbane hosted the first conference to be held in the brand new facility. The True Colours Conference was a successful hit. In attendance were a range of people from local church-goers, to our very own School of Biblical Christian Worldview students, to pastors and businessmen. The two-day conference, held on the 17th and 18th of May, was filled with great wisdom and knowledge from two speakers, Landa Cope and Bill Muehlenberg.
Landa Cope, coming from South Africa, is the founding international Dean of the College of Communication for Youth With A Mission's University of the Nations. 1971 marked the start of Landa's work with YWAM, and she has continued to pour her heart out through public speaking and mission work throughout the world.
Bill Muehlenberg, coming from Melbourne, was formerly the National Vice President of the Australian Family Association as well as the National Research Coordinator at Focus on the Family. Bill is a part-time lecturer and commentates on social and ethic issues.
The message that both speakers presented was a clear challenge to look at the world through the eyes of the Word of God. They covered topics like politics, education, economy, family and other spheres of society.

If you were unable to join us for this conference, do not fret. YWAM Brisbane plans to host another conference in early November 2007. At this conference Danny Lehman will be speaking on the topic of evangelism. It will be free and all are invited to attend.
