Brisbane

We love our great city and are committed to see God’s blessing upon it and His purposes fulfilled through it.

YWAM Brisbane has three clear objectives in helping see this city shine and prosper in the purposes of God.

Firstly, we wish to serve and be a practical resource through our YWAM personnel and the skills and resources we have within ‘Go Centre’. We recognise that, in many churches, people and resources are often limited by other roles and responsibilities. We see that the availability of our personnel, and our flexibility, makes us a valuable and useful resource for churches to achieve some of their ministry goals. We are delighted to serve in this way.

Secondly, we have a passion to see communities discipled and transformed with the gospel. We seek to partner strategically with individual churches to explore the synergy and possibilities that can flow from a partnership, enabling strategic influence of every sphere in a local community.

Thirdly, we understand the powerful and unharnessed potential within the youth of the body of Christ. Within a city such as Brisbane there may be 30,000 young Christians. We see this as a potential army that is out and about the city interacting at every level and in every part of the city from politics to sports, to arts, and education. We foresee this group as a great army of God that can influence through, and across, the breadth of the city. We feel our role in this area as YWAM is to not only do evangelism in Brisbane, but to train, equip, and encourage these young people in sharing Christ and truth with a confidence and with the competence that will impact and change the city around us.
