The Go Centre
The Go Centre is a large YWAM Centre located in Brisbane, the most northerly and most tropical of Australia’s capital cities.
We are a team of 60 full-time staff from many different nations. These staff lead a number of creative and exciting ministries both in Australia and overseas, including 5 different types of Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) for the 200 students that we train here each year.
Our training at the Go Centre extends beyond the DTS into a number of other advanced training programs; all designed to produce leaders and equip them for, and to mobilise them into, ministry around the world.
The Go Centre is a community of believers that has a strong commitment to relationships, as well as to the mission of the Great Commission. While we have a great deal of fun as a community we are equally successful at developing, equipping and mobilising people to ‘Go’ out into the destiny and purposes the Lord has for them.
We are a very mobile centre with many exciting projects and programs. Within our combined ministries we travel almost 7 million kilometres each year and our ‘Go Teams’ minister in many different nations from the coastal and outback towns of Australia, to Africa, the subcontinent of India, China, Asia and the Pacific.
We are strategically located a few hours flight from the mission fields of Asia and the Pacific Islands, but more locally we lie at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef and also at the eastern gateway to the Great Australian Outback.
We have a wonderful facility positioned on a 2 acre property less than 8 kilometres from the Brisbane Central Business District.

Who are we?
Youth With A Mission is an international movement of Christians working to help make a difference in a needy world. Founded in 1960, we are now one of the largest interdenominational Christian ministries, with 11,000 volunteer staff based in nearly 650 locations in over 130 countries. In addition, tens of thousands more people from scores of nations are involved on a short-term basis each year.
Coming from many different backgrounds and working in a wide range of situations, YWAMers are united in our desire to be part of changing people's lives for the better. We have responded to "The Great Commission," Jesus' command to His disciples to go into all the world and tell the Good News. We believe the gospel of Jesus is not just about words, but also actions. So we share our faith through many different kinds of practical help from agricultural training to running medical clinics, as well as telling about the Christian beliefs that inspire our actions.
What do we do?
Youth With A Mission's activities span the globe and the dictionary. From Afghanistan to Zimbabwe everything from accountancy spreadsheets to zoom lenses finds its place in the work of taking the good news to the world by word and deed. While many staff continue to work in remote places that are traditionally seen as "missionary fields," a large number are also focusing on the world's vast, needy urban centers.
