EVENTS & FESTIVALS

There's just something about big events that we just can’t seem to get enough of. Maybe it’s the people, the music or the excitement of something outside the routine. Whatever it is, all we know is that some of our best memories—even some of our most life changing decisions—were birthed from events. Intense worship times at concerts, challenging speakers at conferences or meaningful relationships made or built during festivals—these are the things that help spark significant change in our lives.

At YWAM Brisbane, we understand the important role events and festivals can play in a person’s life—which is why we love to host and be a part of some of the biggest in Queensland and New South Wales. We participate in the following festivals—volunteering in both practical service and evangelistic ways—every year:

-Impact Summer: December/January (Airlie Beach and Byron Bay)

-Schoolies: November (Airlie Beach, Byron Bay and the Gold Coast)

-Easterfest: March/April (Toowoomba) www.easterfest.com.au

"Easterfest (formerly Australian Gospel Music Festival) is a massive 40,000 strong, 3 day festival held in Queen’s Park and the central business district of Toowoomba, Australia. Queen’s Park and Toowoomba’s central business district is converted into an impressive event precinct, packed with huge tents, stages and attractions. Thousands camp out in the Queens Park campground, adding to the atmosphere." -Easterfest

YWAM Brisbane's Chai Tent has become one of the official venues for artists on the Easterfest line up. Named the 'YWAM Chai Circle', it has become one of the more "vibey" places to hang out at Easterfest and is home to acoustic performances, art galleries, industry sessions, worship, movies and of course, YWAM Brisbane's famous Chai.
